Hennie Hamworth

This piece by Hennie Haworth I find really beautiful, and quite inspiring. I really like the way that she's used areas of blank canvas to create the lettering using a masking technique quite similar to one I did to create a piece called Kage. I also find it to be a very interesting the way that it seems to be many pictures making up a broader picture. Her use of magenta and blue contrasts in a way that is very easy on the eyes and maintains a simplistic level beneath the complexity of the shapes above. One thing I would have done differently if I had made this piece is used slightly darker shades as the lettering is a bit too hard to read in places in my opinion for example around the J and K.
I really like the way that Hennie Haworth has brought the colours and flavours in the drinks to life and her use of mixed media makes them look very fresh and clean, I like her use of blank space to represent the glass and her use of greys and blues in very angular shapes to accentuate the ice. I find it really interesting the way she has brought a vibrance and complexity to the drinks at the same time as keeping the use of colours quite minimalistic and simple.
